Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers!)
What should I expect the first time I visit?
You will be warmly welcomed but will not be singled out as a visitor. Just come in, make yourself at home,
and enjoy the worship and teaching from God's Word.
What do I wear?
We have people that dress up and people that come casual; we want you to be comfortable to come to worship
while showing respect for God and others at the same time.
What kind of music do you play?
We use a variety of genres of music; most of our music is of the contemporary praise and worship flavor,
but we also add some traditional elements as well.
How long are the services?
Our services begin at 10:30am and we are usually done no later than 11:45am.
What do you have for my kids?
We have a great nursery area staffed with loving folks, and we have a children's church program for our "Coastal Kids" ministry
(1st-6th graders) that meets during the small group time at 9:15. Children 3rd grade and up and the teenagers meet with the adults in the main worship service at 10:30, while children under 3rd grade stay in extended children programs.
About Bible Studies and Small Groups?
Our small groups are known as LIFE Groups that meet Sunday mornings at 9:15.
Our LIFE University meets Sunday nights at 6pm for 3 12-week sessions during the year. There are several classes to choose from (ie. marriage, finances, books of the Bible studies, etc.)
Our Ladies' and Men's ministries offer special Bible studies throughout the year as well.
How do I join Coastal?
Attendance at the 101 Discover Membership class is required for anyone desiring to be a member of Coastal.
This class is held many times throughout the year.
